An Express Ticket to Summer

Eau Claire Express Baseball is back in action after a year long COVID-related hiatus. Eau Claire’s own beautiful Carson Park hosts the team’s home games, which a perfect setting for long summer nights of baseball, beer, friends, and fun.

If you’ve never been to an Express game, then I highly recommend it. Even casual fans can’t help but feel waves of summer-ball nostalgia as they walk up the stone steps through Hank Aaron Plaza toward the field.

The passageways beneath the stadium host concession stands with an awesome assortment of park food and a surprising selection of ice-cold beer and beverages. If you’re looking to enjoy the premium park experience the Fan Deck is for you. For under $30, you’ll have access to unlimited soft drinks and food as well as four free domestic beers!

The history of the park and the stadium is long and storied. According to the Express’ website the layout of the stadium and diamond is nearly the same today as it was in 1937; long time Eau Claire residents have been enjoying the Carson Park baseball experience for more than 75 years.

I feel that I’ve mentioned dogs more often than not in each of these entries. Regardless, I’ll do it again now! Recently, the Express changed their rules to allow furry friends in the park every Sunday. For details, check out WEAU 13’s story on the update here.

I think everyone is looking forward to a 715 summer packed with a year’s worth of missed events. As a result, the fans are going to be what makes this a remarkable season of Eau Claire Express Baseball. I believe everyone’s plans ought to include an evening in Carson Park!
