How To Style Your T-Shirts Differently

This week we are talking about T-shirts. 9/10 times you can catch me wearing an oversized crew neck T-shirt. Yes, I am through and through a T-SHIRT GAL!

This week I'm sharing with you my T-shirt collection, how I style my T-shirts differently and where to find the best T-shirts that represent your personality.

Where to shop to find the best T-shirts

No surprise here but THRIFTING is my number one suggestion. Secondhand shirts are broken in and worn already and the variety of shirts are endless. When I'm thrifting T-shirts I look for colors I love, bands I like or artistic prints.

My next suggestion is at concerts and music festivals. You know I love an Urban Outfitters T-shirt but hearing someone joke "Name three songs from the band your wearing" gets old. Buy the merch from your fav artists to support them and represent the music you love.

My last suggestion is your dad's closet. No seriously, go ask your dad for some of his old t-shirts.

How to style your T shirts

Here is my T-shirt styling video and three ways I style my T's. Peep the shelves of folded t-shirts, and that's not even all of them. OOPS!

The T-shirt Tuck

Usually, I thrift t-shirts that are boxy and unflattering. The best way to change the fit and flatter your figure is to cinch the middle. I take the front center of the t-shirt and tuck it into my bra or tank top to create a cropped look without cutting the shirt.

The T-shirt Ponytail

Oversized can be cute but sometimes you just need your shirt smaller. One trick is to ponytail the back or front and tuck it up!

The next option is to go inside the shirt and gather a hand full of fabric and wrap your hair tie around it, like a small bun. This will create a cool cinch in the shirt and change the shape.

The T-shirt Dresses

Honestly, in my book, shirts are dresses if you try hard enough. Haha! Thigh high boots? Spandex Shorts? Great, no need for pants.

I love an oversized shirt with thigh boots. It's so Arianna Grande 2019 and I'm still obsessed with that version of her.

I tried these tips while I styled some of my favorite band T's to show you! I  hope this post helps you pull out your crew neck t shirts and style them differently <3
