Unravel the Mystery of Agnes’ Table’s 80s-Themed Murder Mystery Party
It’s time to break out the fishnets and spritz the Aquanet – an 80s themed murder mystery party is happening this weekend! The event is hosted by Agnes’ Table, a Chippewa Falls-based nonprofit organization that helps the community by providing meals, hospitality, and resources to those who need them. This “Totally Rad 80’s Prom Gone Bad!” murder mystery party, sponsored by Amanda Schneider at Edina Realty and Northwestern Bank, will be held at the Heyde Center for the Arts on December 2nd at 5pm. So don the neon, tease up your hair, and pop in those shoulder pads for a night to remember!
Agnes’ Table is celebrating 20 years of service this year. They serve meals throughout the week, host a food pantry, as well as provide a space for people to find community and resources, or just a “judgment-free zone” to warm up in. Executive Director Angela Maloney says she understands what it’s like to be in a difficult situation, and makes sure Agnes’ table treats people in the best way they can. “Dignity and respect … that’s a core need for everybody,” she says.
Angela credits the idea for the murder mystery party to a longtime volunteer named Tanya, who also helps run the Twisted Tales of Horror that takes place at Govin’s Farm in Menomonie during Halloween. The actors from Twisted Tales of Horror have teamed up with Agnes’ Table to deliver a fun night of detective work. Angela says this event is perfect for anybody. “What I love about a murder mystery is, without any extra effort, it’s kind of tailored to each individual, as you get to decide on the levels of engagement that you have,” she explains.
Guests can expect a delicious dinner, a fun murder mystery, a silent auction, raffle baskets, as well as secrets and surprises about Agnes’ Table and their future endeavors. “It’s all in philanthropic fun,” Angela says. To buy tickets, visit here.
