Fall in Love with the 715’s Valentine’s Day Events

Love is in the air, and the 715 is feeling it. Whether you’re spending Valentine’s Day with your lover, your lovely friends, and practicing some self-love, there’s something for everyone in the Chippewa Valley. We’ve got a roundup of events happening on Valentine’s Day for every type of romantic, including the artsy type, the trivia type, and the live music type. Let the countdown to Valentine’s Day begin!

Art Exhibits

If your honey is an art lover, or you both love seeing new art, check out these art exhibits! There’s an exhibition at Acoustic Cafe, where you can sit down and have some food and drink. It’s by Nora Bates, who paints calming mandalas on old records. Or, if you’re looking for a calmer venue, head to the library for a water-themed art show, featuring local artists Mary Elworthy, Susan Pearson, Anders Shafer, Barbara Shafer, Maureen Skroski, and Bruce Warren. Nothing better than art and love!

Senior Center Party

Love has no age. There’s a Valentine’s Day Dance at the L.E. Phillips Senior Center for people 50+, with a special hot chocolate bar. The dance is from 1-3. This event costs $5 for non-members, and it’s sure to be a blast!

Winery Date Package

Infinity Beverages Winery and Distillery has a “Decadent Date” package going on for the days around Valentine’s Day, and you can reserve one here. It’s a two hour reservation for $35. You’ll get a bottle of wine and a sharing plate to enjoy by the candlelight, and then give a rose to your boo on the way out.

Acoustic Music

Enjoy some acoustic live music from Brian Bethke at VFW Club 305 with your date or solo. He’ll be playing from 5-8pm. Another opportunity for music is at 2 Roots Gallery, where Mélange Trio is playing. Nothing warms the heart like some music!

Beer Flights and Dinner

For your beer-loving babe, enjoy a special Valentine’s Day flight or indulge in a four course dinner. There’s even prizes! This event is $50 and 21+. It’ll be from 5-9pm at Growler Guys in Eau Claire.

Party at the Lakely

The Lakely is hosting a “Love on the Rocks” Valentine’s Day Party featuring music by Lesh, TeaWhYB, and Miles Blvd. They’ll also have a Valentine’s Day Market, flash tattoos, drink specials, caricatures, and more! There is no cover for this event, and it’s from 5-10pm. See you there!

Trivia
Since Valentine’s Day is on a Wednesday this year, there’s plenty of trivia going on. Check out Amp Quiz Trivia at the Back 40 in Bloomer and Ray’s Place in Eau Claire, as well as DJ Trivia at the Brass Lantern and Buck Shot Bar. Check out our events calendar for times. Happy guessing!

V-Day Improv

Oh Claire Improv is hosting a Valentine’s Day Improv Show for people 16+, and it’s sure to make your sides hurt from laughing! This is a great date night idea – it’s $15 and the show starts at 7:30pm.

Music Trivia

Another type of trivia – song trivia – is happening Valentine’s Day at The Plus. These are songs about anything but love – whether it be heartbreak, desire, you name it. It’s free, and it starts at 8pm. Brainstorm those team names and battle it out!

Party At Helix

Get some free hors d’oeuvres from 6-9 at Helix! There will also be food, drinks, and music. Enjoy!
