Pedal To These Events During Bike Week in Eau Claire
Wisconsin Bike Week is taking place June 1-8, with some events taking place even before then! Bike Chippewa Valley is putting together an awesome slate of events for cyclists ranging from newbies to experts, and it’s sure to be a blast. Check out the schedule below!
Thursday, May 30: Pedal Safe Family Night
5:30pm-7:30pm, Shift Cyclery and Coffee Bar
Safety demonstrations, special drink offerings, a short family ride, and family-friendly activities. You'll need a bike and helmet to participate in the short family ride.
Saturday, June 1: Valley Girls Mountain Bike Ride
10am, Parking lot at 2633 Riverview Drive, Eau Claire
Valley Girls Cycling are putting on a co-ed social, casual ride on the mostly flat trails of the City Wells. Helmet required!
Saturday, June 1: Bikes, Bridges & Brews
6-7:30pm, The Brewing Projekt
Ride through the city of Eau Claire's bike trails and bridges on a leisurely, 10mph ride. Leaving at 6pm sharp from the Brewing Projekt, this ride will be about 15-20 miles. Helmet required.
Monday, June 3: CORBA Weekly Group Ride
5:15pm, Eau Claire County Expo Center pavilion
CORBA's weekly mountain bike group ride will take place at Lowes Creek County Park, and this ride is for all skill levels. You'll need a County Parks parking pass if you're driving in, which is $5 on site. Helmet required.
Tuesday, June 4: Biking Into History: Carson Park History Tour
5-6:30pm, Chippewa Valley Museum, Eau Claire
The Chippewa Valley Museum is celebrating 50 years in Carson Park by having Jodi Kiffmeyer, museum archivist, lead a bike tour! You'll need to register and pay the $5 fee, and you'll get a free small ice cream cone or dish after the ride. cvmuseum.doubleknot.com
Tuesday, June 4: Ride Your Bike to Tuesday Night Blues
6-8:30pm, Owen Park
Tuesday Night Blues is on! Ride to Owen Park and enjoy the free bike valet service.
Wednesday, June 5: Bike to Baseball
5:45pm, The Brewing Projekt
Start at the Brewing Projekt for a bike ride to the Eau Claire Express baseball game at Carson Park. You'll get free admission to the game thanks to Bike Chippewa Valley, but make sure you're at the Brewing Projekt on time! The ride will leave at 5:45pm sharp. Helmet required.
Thursday, June 6: Biking Viewing Party
5-8pm, SHIFT Cyclery & Coffee Bar
SHIFT and United Cerebral Palsy have joined forces to offer an adaptable bike program for anyone with mobility issues.
Thursday, June 6: Valley Girls Road Ride
5:45-7:30pm, Boyd Park
Valley Girls Cycling will be riding 20-25 miles through hills, road, and trails, at about 13-15mph. Join them! They'll leave at 5:45pm sharp. Helmet required.
Thursday, June 6: Bike to the Sounds Like Summer Concert
6-8:30pm, Phoenix Park
Bike Chippewa Valley's free bike valet service at Phoenix Park makes for the perfect situation to bike to the first Sounds Like Summer concert of the season!
Friday, June 7: Bike Week Party
4-7pm, Haymarket Plaza
Visit downtown Eau Claire to visit with several bike advocates, and enjoy Food Truck Friday and music.
Saturday, June 8: Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day
9am-12pm, Eau Claire County Expo Center pavilion
CORBA and 906 Adventure Team are hosting tons of activities that encourage kids to mountain bike, including skill-based group rides and obstacle challenges. Bring a bike and a helmet, and have fun!
Saturday, June 8: 3rd Annual Pride Ride
11am meetup, 12pm departure, SHIFT Cyclery & Coffee Bar
Decorate your bike at SHIFT, then join the family-friendly bike ride to Phoenix Park to Pride in the Park. Bring decorating supplies!
