Fall Family Traditions
Even though it has been pretty hot all week I can still tell that fall is on it's way. I already saw some of the trees changing colors on my drive the other day. The nights and mornings are starting to get more brisk and I can start to smell the autumn in the air. This has always been my favorite time of year so this week I'm bringing you a list of my favorite fall traditions the entire family can enjoy.
Apple Picking
This is my favorite thing to do with the kids to bring in the new season. It's prime apple picking season right now and there's so many great places to go. Obviously there's Ferguson's but we always enjoy going to Dixon's Autumn Harvest Winery and Orchard so mom can have a glass of wine after a long day of picking apples while the kids play.
Go to a Haunt
If you have older kids, finding a good haunted house or trail to get some scares in is always fun. Govin's outside of Menomonie has a great haunted corn maze that we like to frequent.
Bake Pumpkin Seeds
We love baking pumpkin seeds in our home! First of all, the kids love carving pumpkins and getting their hands dirty. We save all the seeds and throw them in the oven with some oil and salt and they get a yummy snack to enjoy after all their hard work!
Have a Movie Night
Trent and I love to come up with spooky mocktails, wear matching pjs and watch classic Halloween movies like Halloweentown, Hocus Pocus and Beetlejuice.
Have a happy and safe fall!
