Reverse Resolutions

Christmas is over. Now's the time for setting those New Year's resolutions. Time to start hitting the gym again. Time to set new goals for the new year. Or...what if we just didn't? What if we instead set reverse resolutions?

Hear me out, it's never a bad thing to decide to be more healthy or set career goals, but sometimes I feel like we put way too much pressure on ourselves. What if instead the only thing we decided to do this year was be more kind to ourselves and just simply enjoy our lives?

I think we set all these goals for ourselves and beat ourselves up if we don't follow them perfectly. Let's just live a little this year. A good friend of mine and I decided to just start saying yes to things. If it's cheap enough and easy enough to do why not just do it? Life is so extremely short. I challenge you to say yes to more things this year. I challenge you to stop body shaming yourself to lose that holiday weight. It's almost 2025. Body shaming is so last year. Go on random trips. They don't even have to be expensive. Like I said, if it's cheap enough and easy enough to do, why not? Try planning something that you can look forward to every month instead of worrying if you went to the gym 3 days this week instead of 5. Take your kids to the arcade on a random Tuesday.

The only resolution I want to set for myself this year is the live my life to the fullest and to be happier this year than I was last year.

Cheers to 2025,

<3 Bri
