It's 2024! The holidays are officially over. I'm sure you're all exhausted from all the holiday festivities. I know I am! The kids are going back to school after winter break and I know mine is all out of whack from the break. Here's some tips to get you all back on track for your regular routine.
Strict Bedtime
Bedtimes weren't as enforced at our house over Christmas break. Trent spent most of the break at his dad's so his normal bedtime routine was very different. Be strict about bedtime so they can start catching up on all the sleep they missed and be well rested for school.
Meal Plan
This might sound annoying but it definitely helps. I ate like crap over the break. So many holiday get togethers had me stuffing my face full of sweets. Now I want to get back into my normal healthy eating routine and planning your meals for the week will get you back on track, save you the panic of figuring out what to eat and save you money.
Implement a Catch Up Day
We got behind on almost everything over the break. We had a catch up day to clean, do laundry, go grocery shopping and get everything back in order after the holidays.
Get Organized
I'm one of those people who has a physical planner. It helps me keep track of what I need to do. Plus, it's super satisfying to check things off my to-do list. What do your kids have coming up? What do you have to get done? Staying organized prevents the post-holiday brain.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Cheers to the new year!
