US Open Chainsaw Sculpture Championship

Blades will be buzzing and sawdust will be soaring in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, August 10-13, 2023–During this four-day event, visitors will be able to watch ordinary logs become complex masterpieces. Carvers from around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Japan, the United States, and Wales, will compete, ending in an auction of the judged artworks on Sunday afternoon. Don’t miss the daily auctions. A beer garden will be on site, and a variety of food will be available throughout the event. Proceeds from the US Open will go to continued programming at Chippewa Valley Museums.
Saturday, August 12 is Family Day and there will be a variety of activities happening. Watch balloon art and juggling performances. Get your face painted. Experience a live art project as Jason Anhorn completes a 16’ x 8’ mural. Make a pencil with the Chippewa Valley Woodturners Guild. Carve an apple with help from the West Wisconsin Woodcarvers Guild. Learn about ecology with Beaver Creek. Play outdoor games with the Chippewa Valley Council Boy Scouts of America

NOTE: Purchase of tickets to the US Open Chainsaw Sculpture Championship also comes with complimentary access to the North American Fastpitch Association Nationals! The 2023 NAFA World Series will take place August 10-13 and the A & 23U will be playing on August 17-20. These teams travel from all over the USA to play and compete with their divisions. Games will occur Thursday-Sunday with over 70 teams competing to come out champions!
