October Haunted Houses
After doing our very own haunt this year we decided that we need to visit all the haunts in the area. Trent has recently gotten into all things spooky and has he's gotten older I've decided to get him more involved. Keep in mind that most of these haunts have child actors so there's nothing too traumatizing for your children. Just some good ol' Halloween fun for the entire family!
Ski Sprites
This haunted house is put on as a fundraiser for the Ski Sprites. It's what allows them to put on their summer shows on the water. This years theme is "When Darkness Comes." They will have an area for "scare shotes" which is basically a hidden camera. Kind of like a rollercoaster picture. The haunted house is open all of October Thursday through Saturday 7-11pm. It's located downtown at 415 S Dewey St, Eau Claire.
Field of Screams
This haunted house is literally just down the road from me so of course it's on our list of places to go for some spooky fun. This year's theme is Wrong Turn. Navigate through trails and a barn with frightening creatures. It kicks of October 12 and continues on weekend throughout October from 7-10pm. Located at 8020 Curvue Rd, Eau Claire, WI.
 Twisted Tails of Horror
This is one of the biggest haunts in Western Wisconsin. This haunt twists through 2+ acres of corn fields. It takes place the rest of October Friday and Saturday. Hours of operation are from 6-10pm. Kids who get scared easily should arrive before 7pm for a less scary experience. Located at N6134 670th st, Menomonie, WI.
