Starting A Salon: Moss Hair Salon In Eau Claire
Hey I'm Meg Ann Lee and this week I have some exciting news. If you have been following the blog for a while you know I am a full-time hairstylist and this year I took the next big step in my career, I opened a salon with two other amazing hairstylists! We are Moss and we are in the heart of downtown Eau Claire. If you want to see our new space, the services we love doing and where to book with us, keep reading!
How It Started
Do you ever walk into a new room or an old building and just feel inspired? That's exactly what sparked this little fire for the three co-owners of Moss. 200 Main Street is bright, airy and colorful. Check out our process below!
What We Love
We are living in a day where stylists "specialize" is certain services like blonding or extensions. I love this but one thing I've learned behind the chair is I specialize in communication and human beings. Understanding WHO your clients are and HOW they feel is the best thing to "specialize" in. Once you are good at that you can help them create their personal vision and inspire confidence in themselves, that's always my main goal in the salon.
If I had to choose what we specialize in it would be blonding, extensions and lived in colors. Our stylists are all certified by multiple extension brands in over 6 different extension methods and we are continuing that education in 2024!
How To Book With Us
Like most businesses we have moved to a digital booking system. You can find us on Vagaro. It's a user-friendly app that you can access on your phone, tablet, or desktop. I love that this booking system puts the scheduling and communication back in the clients' hands. It's your time and money so you should be in charge of booking and changing your appointments.
At Moss we are by appointment only, meaning, we don't always have the same set hours every week. I get asked if we take walk-ins but that's not really the business model we have at Moss.
